Legacy Attachmate and Legacy WRQ Wine Tasting Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q: When is the wine tasting?
A: Typically, third Thursday of the month. However, we are open to other days of the week.

Q: How much should I spend for a wine?
A: Current feeling of the group is to start with wines at $15 and go up from there. We strongly encourage two or more persons to share the expense and buy a more expensive bottle. On occasion, we will do a group purchase.

Q: What should I bring?
A: Your favorite wine snack that you would like to share with the group. Typically, folks bring cheese, crackers, olives, bread, nuts, fruit, marinated veggies, and thin sliced deli meats.

Q: Why are there no white wine tastings?
A: Because no one would show up. Although, we usually have an event called Summer Wines, where folks may bring any wine that they enjoy in the Summer…e.g., Vinho Verde, Albarinho, Rose, Sangria, Pinot Grigio, and much much more.

Q: How can I host a wine tasting?
A: Sure, please have a corkscrew, a few plates/platters for cheese and thin sliced deli meats; a few knives for cutting cheese; a few baskets/bowls for bread and crackers, and a few napkins.

Q: Where do the wine glasses come from?
A: They are donations made by group members over time. Gus (or someone else) will bring them to each tasting.

Q: Is there a web site with wine notes?
A: Yes. Go to "http://www.afsandeberg.com/1/misc-stuff/wine-tasting/winetasting.htm".
